When You or a Family Member Is Hospitalized...

...it is extremely important that you have someone call the church office at 782-2650 to notify us.  That way, Revs. Patty and Ron can arrange to see you during their weekly hospital rounds.  Thank you.

ALTAR FLOWERS

We welcome you to donate flowers for our altar in loving memory of or in honor of a loved one. Please submit check in the amount of $15.00 in the envelopes provided in each pew and on the information table. Make sure to specify whether you want them taken to a homebound church member or that you will pick them up. Thank you!

COFFEE HOUR MINISTRY - IS IT YOUR TURN TO HELP?

It is critical that we provide a warm, safe, informal environment at Emmanuel for our members, friends, and newcomers to mingle. That is why our Coffee Hour is so vital to our church life. We count on each one of you to take your turn with set up and clean up. Please do your part. Call the church office (782-2650), or sign up on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in Anderson Hall. Thank you, and God bless you for your help! - Christina Vaccaro, Coffee Hour Coordinator

Open Minds Open Hearts Unconditional Love

Congregational Photo taken on Pentecost Sunday

We are a lively, open-hearted, Open and Affirming, multi-cultural, multi-racial congregation of the United Church of Christ. Our mission is to share the unconditional love of Christ for every person.

We feel called by God to honor the diversity of our church family in which all members are valued, supported, and challenged to deepen their relationship with God as disciples of Christ. We are male and female, young and old, married, single, straight, gay, civilian and military, all working together to grow in Christ and continue the work He began some 2000 years ago.

All of us bring our own unique histories, purposes, and gifts to share, expressing our faith in daily life and ministries to the world.  As a congregation with varied political and theological views, we’ve grown strong by humbly listening to and learning from each other, hearing God’s voice through each person.

Our worship services are alive with praise, celebration, and meditative moments, weaving together creative sermons, dramas, clown skits, children’s messages, praise band, and classical and contemporary choral music. We place a high priority on the spiritual growth and education of our children, youth and adults through our Sunday school, small groups, Bible Studies, and retreats.

We are Emmanuel Congregational Church, UCC, and we look forward to welcoming you as part of our family in Christ Jesus!

Office Administrator / Summer Office Hours / Summer Worship Service

PLEASE NOTE SUMMER OFFICE HOURS are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 AM to 1 PM.  The pastors will be in the office on those days generally from 10:30 AM to 1 PM. (However, it’s always good to call ahead if you plan to stop in, to make sure they haven’t been called away to a meeting or hospital visit.)
Please stop in and say hello to our new office administrator, Jennifer Whitney!  We are so pleased to have Jennifer aboard.  Jennifer is married and a mother of three; two boys (Nolan and Nicolas) and a girl (Diana).  She previously worked at Car-Freshner in their international department but wanted a more rewarding career and more time with her children.

EMMANUEL GLOBAL MISSION TEAM

I am extremely pleased to introduce the new Emmanuel Global Mission Team, a hands-on mission sub-committee of the Deacons. We will be providing information, education & awareness and opportunities for our church family to connect with and serve our community, our nation & our world as we share Christ’s love. We will also be working with the NY Conference in organizing a disaster relief team that may assist with and send support directly to areas in the community, state and nation affected by disasters. I’m even more excited about promoting some of our church wide mission projects and endeavors we have scheduled for this spring.

We are organizing a Emmanuel Local Care / Clean Team to help our church family and friends who may need some short term assistance cleaning, cooking, shopping, laundry, running errands, or companionship during or after an illness, surgery or rough time. If you are interested in being on a call list to provide a meal or helping hand PLEASE contact me or leave a note with Erica in the office for our team. Thank you!

In Christ’s Love,
Gerald Hettick
