Emmanuel Congregational Church

Global Mission Team

The Emmanuel Global Mission Team is made up of folks who have a passion to roll up their sleeves and make a difference. Their mission is “to share Christ’s love for one another through hands on mission activities and prayer; humbly enriching the lives of those we serve with the highest respect for their cultures, beliefs and heritage as we strive to build a bridge of friendship and faith between our Emmanuel family, our community, our nation and world.”

They meet once a month to plan their next hands-on mission projects which are a blend of

  • local projects like the Emmanuel Community Garden (in Rodman), Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, Neighbors of Watertown rehabs, and Habitat for Humanity work parties, and
  • long-distance, week-long mission trips to New York City, Florida, and far flung places such as Haiti and Africa to do relief work.

Global Mission Team raises money for its mission projects, and the church budget also provides financial support. Speak to Gerald Hettick, the committee chair, through the church office at 782-2650.
